Te Ahiawa Residence

Raglan, Waikato
Te Ahiawa Residence

THE CHALLENGE

After a very unique concept was designed by architect Zoe Fahey (Shape Ltd) based in Mount Maunganui, I was approached to complete the design and use my knowledge of local rules and regulation to make the process easier.

The design evolved slightly with minimal fine tuning for cladding and windows, and a few additional ideas such as a new covered deck & fireplace zone. Architect Francesca Peacocke (Rua Studio) was also engaged to design the kitchen, she used modern and smart concepts that merged well with the overall layout. It was a great collaboration bouncing back and forth ideas and a lovely learning experience collaborating with other knowledgeable architects.

Simplicity with cohesive shapes is what was so well achieved with this elegant home, an outstanding property!

Te Ahiawa Residence

The layout invites the outdoors inside the home, and sunlight floods through the living space. The flow is serene…

The sheltered private outdoor areas make great use of the space, surrounded by forest and a stream, whilst only a stones throw away from the local Raglan beach.

Simplicity with cohesive shapes is what was so well achieved with this elegant home, an outstanding property!
